I'm creating this blog so people can get a copy of my documentary Journey Into Tibet with Robert Thurman.
| Journey Into Tibet |
Robert took 25 people on a trip to Tibet a few years back, we began in Lhasa, visited Samye monastery, the main monasteries of Lhasa including Drepung and Nechung, we visit the Barkor and the statue of Buddha that was made in his lifetime in the Jokhang. Robert narrates the trip along the way - as we visit the Potala Palace and other sites in Lhasa.
| In Lhasa |
From there we pack up our gear and travel to Gyantse, site of the Kumbum, and Shigatse with the monastery of the Panchen Lama Tashilumpo - from there we go across Tibet to Mt. Kailash, and circumnavigate the sacred mountain and eventually wind up camping by sacred Lake Mansarovar.
